They have found a compound which, when injected under the skin before and after an incision, significantly improves the appearance of scars.
The drug, avotermin, is based on a special molecule known as 'transforming growth factor beta3', which sends signals between cells and makes the collagen cervical cancer jab a key component of skin — knit together more effectively.
